The crew doesn’t start from nothing each time. Everything it remembers is something you can see, with where it came from and when, and you can correct it.

Noted for next time

When you teach the crew something outright in a chat, like a correction, “we always…” or “never…”, it keeps it straight away. The chat shows Noted for next time: and the lesson, with Undo.

Every lesson keeps the message it came from. A lesson about one client is used only for that client.

Lessons Cruma infers

After a chat goes quiet, the crew looks back over it and may notice a lesson nobody said outright. Those wait for your OK. The chat shows “Cruma learned 1 thing from this chat” with the lesson and where it came from, and Keep or Dismiss. Kept, it says who will use it: “Kept. Research and Social will use it for Lumen.” Waiting lessons also show on the crew member’s page, under What it has learned.

The crew relies only on lessons someone kept.

What you tell it about yourself

Tell a crew member something about yourself, like “Remember that I like numbers in a table,” and it goes straight in. Its answer shows Remembered: and what it saved, with Undo. From then on, the crew keeps it in mind when you ask.

Thumbs up and down

Good answer and Bad answer tell the crew how it did. Bad answer asks “What was off? The crew learns from it.” Your reason goes to whoever answered, and it can become a lesson.

Facts about your work

As the crew reads your email, files and chats, it proposes facts about your records: a deadline, an audience, who prefers what. Each fact has its source, how sure the crew is, and “as of” when it was last confirmed. A proposed fact shows dashed until someone keeps it. See Types and records.

Facts carry their age. An old fact is flagged (“last confirmed 3 years ago”) before anyone relies on it, and the crew re-checks important ones from new email and files. A correction never erases what was believed before, so “what did we think in March?” always has an answer.

Who a memory reaches

Every memory keeps the audience of where it came from. A fact learned from a Finance file stays with Finance wherever it’s used. When the crew answers in a chat, it uses only what everyone in that chat may see, so a lesson from a small chat never reaches a wider one. What one person told the crew about themselves stays with that person.

Tidy over time

The crew’s memory is kept tidy, not just added to: lessons are merged, duplicates removed and outdated rules retired, and each still shows when it was learned and last used.

Long chats

The crew reads the latest part of a chat word for word, and keeps notes on everything older: short items, each pointing back at its message, so a decision or a number from an hour ago isn’t lost. In the chat, a line marks where the notes begin, with Show notes.
